I first talked to a peer on the Join Rise Be warmline in early 2025, and I am so glad I can call this warmline. Since that first time, I was like, “I feel so safe and heard here, I want to call in again!” Not too long i used to have issues talking to anyone at all especially when it came to my mental health issues and depression. I grew up mostly on my own/alone and bottled everything up. With age, my past and issues caught up with me. I didn’t expect I would feel so safe here. I usually struggled a lot with warmlines, and I nearly gave up. I feel so free to talk about anything. I also kind of realised I am constantly in recovery and it’s never linear like I used to think. Whether it’s a good or bad day, I am so thankful they are all there for me. Every peer here is so amazing! There is so much good I could say about this Warmline, and I mean it when I say I was one of those people who would lash out as soon as someone asked me how I am doing. I love being a frequent caller. – Lea
