About the 4th

Hello beautiful people! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend and haven’t gotten too annoyed with the folks setting off fireworks (which will unfortunately continue for the next 2 months 🙂 ). Since this weekend was considered a holiday weekend, I wanted to briefly talk about holidays in general. I know that holidays are traditionally considered important in our culture, and often times we feel the need to fit into the stereotypical mold that expects us to love every single holiday celebration, but this isn’t realistic. In contrast, holidays aren’t everyone’s favorite days. For some, they may bring up negative emotions, may be a reminder of a negative event, can bring up feelings of loss when thinking of those that are no longer here celebrating along with the rest of us, etc. Whatever your personal case may be, I hope you were able to make the best of the 4th of July weekend. If you celebrated and had a great day, I’m happy for you. If you barely made it out of bed because it was too hard, I understand you. If you celebrated at one point but felt debilitated the next, know that your feelings are valid. Whichever way you chose to spend this weekend, I hope it brought you peace.

Here’s to achieving everything you set out to do this week!

Toodles,

Luzinator
